History of the Anglican Church of Kenya

Explore the journey of our church through the years, from humble beginnings to a thriving community of faith and service.

1844 - Beginnings of the Anglican Church of Kenya

The Anglican Church of Kenya traces its origins to the arrival of Dr. Johann Ludwig Krapf in 1844. Through the Church Missionary Society, he established the first mission station in Rabai-Coast, laying the foundation for the spread of the gospel in Kenya.
